We need YOU to help break an official Guinness World Record for the longest line of coins, all for a great cause!
The current records stands at 75.24km by pupils, parents and volunteers in Kirchdorf, Austria. This record has been held since the 9th of December 2011 – Time for a new record to be set!
In order to do so, we need upwards of 3 millions coins to reach our goal of 80km of continuous coins! WOW!
Why do we know we can do it? Because we have you of course. Dedicated people who want to make a difference and see more done to help kids lead kids’ lives.
This challenge will take commitment and focus… but it will be fun!
In 2016, the Victorian Paediatric Rehabilitation Service saw 156 patients from the Geelong region and have assisted 108 in the first half of 2017. Many of these children and youth have had an acquired brain injury and are forced to seek treatment away from home at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne.
A number of other children are treated in the Community Rehabilitation Centre at the McKellar Centre, which has been designed for adults. Therefore, Geelong needs a rehabilitation facility for children and youth, where they can remain close to home whilst having a suitable program catered for them and their family’s needs.
So the Barwon Health Foundation is working hard to raise vital funds for a new state-of-the-art centre and we need your help!
Crack open the piggy bank and help us fill the Coin-O-Meter! Our target to break the World Record.
